(Nasdaq: DISK), a leading independent licensee, producer and distributor of exclusive DVD programming in North America, today announced a January 18th home video release of the independent film LANA ‘S RAIN featuring Oksana Orlenko, winner Best Actress at the Milan International Film Festival, in her film debut.

Filmed in 78 locations, including Croatia and the gritty back streets of Chicago, this powerful, hard-edged crime drama explores the dark side of the American immigrant experience and dares to ask, “How far would you go to survive?” Lana’s (Orlenko) only chance to escape the war-torn Balkans is her long-lost brother, Darko (Nickolai Stoilov), a street-smart gangster with enemies intent on revenge. Isolated by her inability to speak English, Lana desperately hopes that she and her brother can achieve the American dream that she can only glimpse. Her illusions are shattered as she is forced to survive the mean streets of Chicago by any means possible as she gets pulled deeper and deeper into her brother’s criminal world. Lana must risk her own life to overcome Darko and his pursuers if she hopes to finally realize her dream.

LANA’S RAIN on DVD will be presented in 1.85:1 aspect ratio, enhanced for 16:9 aspect ratio televisions, Dolby© Digital Stereo, and features an audio-commentary with writer and director Michael Ojeda, producer Joel Goodman and star Oksana Orlenko. The DVD will also include a photo gallery, theatrical trailer and an excerpt from Chicago Tonight (which aired February 26, 2004) featuring an interview with Orlenko. The DVD has a suggested retail price of $19.99 and the VHS has a suggested retail price of $24.98.
